3. Cookies, Consent, and Analytics Tools
3.1 Cookie Consent Management
We use a cookie consent tool to obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies. When you first visit our website, a cookie banner appears allowing you to accept or reject analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in a cookie called cc_cookie (expires after 365 days).

3.3 Umami Cloud (Cookieless Analytics)
We use Umami Cloud for basic website analytics (pageviews, referrers, browsers, devices, countries). Umami is a privacy-focused analytics tool that operates entirely without cookies, localStorage, or browser fingerprinting. No personal data is stored on your device and IP addresses are not retained.
Since Umami does not store or access any information on your device, no consent is required under TTDSG Section 25. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding website usage).

3.4 PostHog (Analytics with Consent)
We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog operates in two modes:
- Without consent (default): PostHog runs in memory-only mode. No cookies or localStorage are used. Events are collected anonymously and cannot be linked across sessions. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).
- With consent: If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog stores cookies (prefix
ph_) to enable session recording, cross-session tracking, and usage funnels. Legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent).
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. PostHog data is processed on EU servers.
